Anyone who has seen the rougher side will understand that Łódź is very a city in transition. What this means is that whole areas are being feverishly renovated and rebuilt, and much of the best accommodation didn’t even exist a few years ago. Even quite established properties have recently been given dramatic makeovers. Most of the following have an excellent location, mostly on and around ul. Piotrkowska, and all have a firm foot in both the past and the present, without ever skimping on quality.
In this class, rates can vary wildly, depending on season and demand. The Pietryna, Hotel the Loom, and Vienna House are roughly equivalent in price, with rates from around 450zł (105€) to 490zł (115€). Rates for the PURO jump to roughly 548zł (125€) and above. The Grand is understandably the most expensive with rates ranging from roughly 621zł (140€) to 690zł (160€).
