In addition to its place in cinema history, Łódź also had one of the world’s most-loved animation studios called Se-ma-for. Their 70-year legacy is celebrated in a wonderful 10-statue trail of characters around the city. We list them all here with details on where to find them.
Ferdynanda Wspaniałego
Łódź Bajkowa, or the Łódź Fairyland Trail, is sure to be a highlight if you are visiting the city with children. These ten characters are spread across the entire city, usually very close to another child-friendly attraction, such as the Aquapark and zoo. All the characters were developed for Polish television by Se-ma-for Studios, who even won two Oscars! And the top floor of the Film Museum is dedicated to children’s animation, which ties in very nicely with the trail.

Kids will love these friendly statues, even if they don’t know who the characters are. Finding them all is a fun way to get to know the city. All statues can be visited for free at any time, although note that the Three Bears statue, while free, can only be seen during the opening hours of the Łódź City Culture Park. Also, one of the statues is currently hidden away on a building site!
