A hub of independent bars, restaurants, and shops, the post-industrial OFF Piotrkowska centre is one of the key elements in Łódź’s reputation as perhaps the most creative city in Poland.

Converted industrial districts are very much a theme in Łódź. But the Ramisch factory site clearly conceives itself as a creative alternative to the tidy makeover and brand names of Manufaktura. Now known as OFF Piotrkowska, the red bricks have been left rough and there’s a sense of happenstance. What’s more, the centre has a policy of only allowing creative, independent business, so you won’t find any shopping mall chains looking to gentrify their brand. As such, this thriving hive is, for many, one of the real highlights of Łódź.
OFF is home to a dozen restaurants and bars including Ato Ramen, Brush Barber Shop, Doki Gastrobar, Football Pub, Spaleni Słoncem, and Spoldzielnia, as well as a club called Klub DOM and an improv theatre. You’ll also find clothes boutiques, and numerous creative and business firms.
