With exposed brick walls, distinctive concrete seams, and bare wooden flooring, Hotel Tobaco looks every inch the contemporary Polish hotel. The location to the east of the city centre is perfect for stadium gigs at the Atlas Arena. (Check availability and pricing on Booking.com or Agoda.com).
Hotel Tobaco is a newly renovated town house with a range of rooms in different classes. These include economy rooms, most of which face onto the street, and single rooms, which are great for solo travellers. These are in excellent condition and kept scrupulously clean. The bathrooms, as is usual in Poland, are excellent. Some rooms have a tub.
Although I have seen this interior style in many Polish hotels, Tobaco is comfortable and cosy. The staff are friendly and helpful, and breakfast in the U Kretschmera restaurant is recommended. A mix of Middle Eastern, Russian, and Eastern European dishes are served at other times of day.
Hotel Tobaco Łódź
There are more centrally located hotels offering a similar standard experience, but options such as single rooms make Tobaco worth a look. If you’re in town for a show at the Atlas Arena, this is certainly going to be an excellent choice.
