Szpulka is a smart, contemporary bar and bistro with a big choice of comfort food. It’s a good place to load up on breakfast before a shopping expedition to Manufaktura.

Like many Manufaktura places to eat and drink, Szpulka is a post-industrial space, split across a number of floors – the name means “spool”, also keeping with the cotton factory theme. Although it feels more like a bar, it opens early-ish for fried breakfasts and frittatas, and there’s an extensive of comfort food, including burgers and ramen.
The interior is all exposed brickwork and industrial piping, and there’s some psychedelic artwork across one of the walls. If you sit on the top level, you can look down directly over the open kitchen. And, like other Manufaktura restaurants, there’s a large terrace area for sitting outside. If you don’t want to eat, you can get freshly-squeezed juices and ice-cold mojitos from the well-stocked bar.
