Used for a lot of business and private events, Hotel Borowiecki probably won’t be first choice for tourists. However, the price is good and it’s pretty handy for shows at the Atlas Arena.

Tucked away to the west of central Łódź, Hotel Borowiecki is, in truth, something of a mixed affair. But the upsides could well persuade travellers on a budget. (Check availability and pricing on Booking.com or Agoda.com).
Located on the edge of an industrial estate, a brisk 25-minute walk from Manufaktura, Hotel Borowiecki might not be in the most salubrious part of the city, but it is away from the traffic that plagues many hotels. The rooms are fairly spacious, with big beds. Despite its retro charm, some of the lobby furniture could do with an update.
The staff are friendly and offer little touches of hospitality. Moreover, there is a good breakfast with lots of local produce and the Tkalnia Smaku restaurant serves Polish food at a reasonable price. Best of all, this can be one of the city’s best-value hotels if you book at the right time.

Hotel Borowiecki might lose out in terms of location and design, but the price and friendly service are a definite plus.
