There’s no shortage of pizza joints in Łódź, admittedly, but the handy ul. Piotrkowska location and tasty, thin-crust, stone-oven food make Forno Nero one of the better choices. Look for the passageway at 79 Piotrkowska or you can access the same alley from via the entrance at 22 al. Tadeusza Kościuszki.
The interior is a simple space, with painted brick and stained wooden floors, giving it a rustic feel to match the no-nonsense presentation of the pizzas. There’s also a car-free seating area outside. This too is a bit rough and ready. Food is prepared in the big wood-fired oven behind the counter and calzone is available, as well as good vegan pizza.
