The Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic building is a beautiful, contemporary performance space with excellent acoustics in the very heart of Łódź.
Filharmonia Łódzka im. Artura Rubinsteina
A short walk from the main train station, Filharmonia Łódzka im. Artura Rubinsteina is the city’s main classical concert hall, with an in-house orchestra and visiting performers. It is also used by non-classical artists. The boxy, wooden auditorium has comfortable seating and an expansive stage area. One of the building’s two organs is integrated into the back wall, a nice mix of design and musical practicality. Most importantly, the acoustics are excellent.
The main auditorium holds roughly 650 people, whilst there is also a chamber hall with 120 seats. There is a strong programme of events for children, in addition to the regular symphonic and organ peformances. See the official Łódź Philharmonia website for tickets and a full calendar of events.
